Reducing the effects of
oily skin and oily hair.
Zinc is an essential mineral. PCA is part of
the NMF (natural moisturizing factor).
Zinc PCA
regulates the sebaceous glands (which
produce sebum (oil) that is secreted via the
pores of your skin. When the sebaceous
glands are over active, the is a build up of
sebum that must be removed. If it is not
removed, that build up will manifest itself
as blackheads for skin and oily hair (and
scalp).
Skin:
People
with an oily complexion will benefit from
Zinc PCA in a similar manner. Again, the
output of sebum from the sebaceous glands
need to be controlled with this type of
complexion.
Hair:
When oil builds up on the scalp, it quickly
can turn to having a flaky scalp and very
oily hair. Because the sebum is drying and
effectively sitting on top of the scalp, it
will begin to flake and most likely itch, as
well.
Our skin
sheds itself every 24 to 28 days. Dandruff
is that process happening faster than it
normally would. In our experience, many
people who think they have dandruff actually
have over active sebaceous glands. They then
accrue a build up of oil and dead skin cells
when they do not properly clean around their
scalp. Now this is a problem that can be
managed easier than thought previously. Zinc
PCA will regulate the sebaceous glands so
the sebum output is controlled.
The focus
should be on:
1) Controlling sebum (oil) output for over
active sebaceous glands.
2) Cleaning around the root of the hair -
getting rid of dead skin cells and excessive
sebum.
